  • $250/horse

  • Determines how current diet meets your horse’s nutritional requirements based on the National Research Council’s Nutrient Requirements of Horses  

  • Report on calcium: phosphorus ratio, zinc to copper ratio and iron to copper ratio; Report on total non structural carbohydrate content of the diet

  • Discuss any issues and concerns

  • Make general recommendations to increase/decrease nutrients as needed

  • Includes general questions and feedback for improvements

  • Discount if multiple (>3) horses on same hay/feeds are analyzed ($175 each)

  • Owner must provide weight estimate of horse, body condition score, activity level, health history, pictures, etc.

  • Owner must provide information and weights of all feeds and supplements offered, hay/pasture analysis (improves accuracy of the evaluation), weight of hay fed, information about pasture

  • Includes a reasonable amount of follow up questions

  • Includes a 30 min phone call if needed

 

• In Person Full Dietary Evaluation for your horse

  • $300/horse, plus travel 

  • Physical examination of your horse to estimate body weight and condition

  • Weighing of all feeds and hay offered daily, pasture inspection, can take hay sample for analysis (cost of hay analysis not included, but I can send it in and add the cost to your invoice)

  • Receive same as Online Full Dietary Evaluation

  • Discount if multiple (>3) horses on same hay/feeds are analyzed ($200 each)

  • No mileage if horse is at a horse show at the NC Hunt Horse Complex in Raleigh

  • Includes a reasonable amount of follow up questions

 

• New Diet Formulation & Evaluation

  • $350/horse (+$50 and travel if includes site visit)

  • Based on discussion with the horse owner, new feeds/supplements selected, new dietary formulation and evaluation

  • New dietary evaluations of a previously evaluated horse cost between $50-150/horse depending on complexity of the diet

 

• Feeding Program Evaluation for your facility and horses

  • $200/hr site visit, plus mileage

  • Evaluation of horses and feeds available, can take hay sample for analysis

  • General recommendations for your feeding program

  • Fee waived if Full Dietary Evaluation performed on at least 3 horses

• Educational Seminars/Webinars for your boarders and/or students of any age

  • Specifically designed for your group to meet your interests

  • $300 for 2 hr talk/discussion, plus mileage

  • Discounts for educational groups (eg. 4H, Pony Club)

  • No mileage counted if horse is at NC Hunt Horse Complex or Carolina Horse Park when I'm there 

  • Hay and Pasture analysis available at additional cost via Equi-analytical

    • This significantly increases the accuracy of your evaluation
